During your stay at the BRCC you will have many great choices of where to run. You can minimize the risks of exhaustion/injury by pre-planning your runs. The trails we use most often have been classified as those that are good for long runs and trails that are relatively short. An example of a schedule which can be used for a one week stay at the BRCC is presented below. It was developed with the philosophy that you should not have two hard/long days in a row. Each hard day is followed by an easy/recovery day. Of course the ultimate of easy is a rest day with no running.
Day 1 Arrival Day at BRCC. An easy run around Bass Lake or maybe The Maze.
This is to just get the blood flowing after traveling. For example, loops around Bass Lake (.95 mile each) or a trip through The Maze from the Parking lot for 3.80 miles. Click Here for details.

NOTE: Bass Lake is wider and flatter than Trout Lake, but the parking lot at Trout Lake will easily accommodate bus parking. Do not attempt to go down to the Bass Lake parking lot in a bus. Park the bus up on Hwy 221 just past Bass Lake Road then walk down the road.
